Although you can customize digital photo utilities to operate the way you want it to, it comes preconfigured with a set of Actions that perform common tasks that you may find useful.
This Action is designed to help you easily share your pictures
to your friends on the
internet. In order to keep from overloading your friend's inbox, it is
customary to resize your images before sending them. This Action creates a
smaller version of the image(s) you drag and drop onto it and attaches them to
an email message. You can edit the action to change the size of the images
that it creates..
This Action renders a matted frame around your image.
The result looks as if you took a picture of your framed image hanging on the
wall. You may set a multitude of parameters including mat and frame
colors.
This is a very powerful action that renames and organizes your images.
Simply drag and drop your images or complete directories onto this Action to
copy all the images into a directory called "organize" in your "My Pictures"
directory. The files will automatically be organized by year and month.
The images will also be renamed by date. With this action you will be amazed how quickly you can organize
your images.
This action allows you to edit the EXIF metadata of your
image. Using this action you can add a title and description to your
images that is saved in the same file as the image without changing the image
itself. Other elements of digital photo utilities
such as the WebGenerator, Saver and Caption make use this information.
Because this data is in standard EXIF format, it can also be used by other
applications. This Action also sets the Artist and Copyright field.
You can edit the Action to set these to a constant value.
This Action creates a web gallery of HTML pages in the style
you choose based on your images. The result is a web site suitable for
posting to a server on the internet or viewing on your local computer.
This Action resizes images to 640 x 480 pixels. If you have added metadata to your images, WebGen uses this
information to fill in the details of the website.
